Anti-erosion geo-mats Slavros SGM-3D

Description

Slavros SGM anti-erosion geo-mat is a flexible and lightweight geosynthetic material of a chaotic threedimensional structure, made from polymer or copolymer by extrusion.

"Slavros SGM" is used to create a sustainable vegetation cover in order to prevent erosion processes on the surface of embankments, pits, ditches, as well as to protect the banks of rivers, lakes, reservoirs and other water bodies with differences in water level and wave load, landscaping artificial smooth surfaces formed during the closure of landfills using artificial waterproofing.

Installation technique

During fitting of the Slavros geo-mats in the applied technology works, additional operations are introduced:

1. surface preparation (planning, cleaning of large foreign objects);

2. preparation of a trench along the edge of the roadbed for fixing geo-mats in its upper part, for example, by laying it under a curb storing construction. A trench of triangular cross section with laying 1: 2 slopes with a depth of 0.4 m or trapezoidal section with laying 1: 1 slope with a depth of 0.3 m and a width (bottom) of 0.2 m is arranged at a distance of 0.2 - 0.6 m from curb roadbed;

3. transportation of geo-mat coils to the work site, their unloading and distribution along the slope. The rolls are transported and distributed along the edge through a certain distance, depending on the length of the material in the roll, the length of the forming slope;

4. Installing of geo-mats is done from top to bottom with its sealing in the upper part of the anchor trench. After fitting the geo-mats, anchor trenches are filled with sand-gravel, crushed stone or local soil and compacted. Neighboring canvases are laid in parallel with an overlap of not less than 0.2 m and fastening with anchor brackets with a diameter of 3 mm but not more than 10 mm, a length of 30 cm, with bent upper and pointed lower ends (Figure 1) made at the work site. (fittings) with a diameter of 3 mm. Anchors and brackets in the process of fitting set in 2 - 3 points along the width of the roll through 1 - 3 m along its length (Figure 4);

- backfilling of vegetable soil on top of geo-mats is performed using excavators, front loaders or manually from top to bottom. Sowing seeds is best at the beginning of the growing season of the plants most favorable for their development. The composition of the seed mixture is selected depending on the climatic conditions of the area. Approximate seed consumption - 3-5 kg per 100 m2 of surface. One third of seeds is sown on open geo-mats or on the surface of a slope before they are laid, and two thirds after sowing the geo-mat with vegetable soil.
