Geogrids Slavros GSK

Description

Slavros GSK geogrids roadgrades are manufactured according to the current regulatory and technical documentation by connecting glass portions located in the longitudinal and transverse directions with the formation of cells treated with a special compound to improve properties and increase their stability.
Slavros GCST Geogrids glass road marks are a composite material of geogrid layers bonded in plane with a geotextile material.

Areas of use:    

  • reinforcement of asphalt concrete layers of public roads;
  • reinforcement of the joints when widening the coatings of non-rigid type;
  • asphalt concrete pavements on block concrete bases;
  • reinforcement of asphalt concrete layers during the construction of hydraulic structures and landfills.


                                        

Geogrids "Slavros GSK" and "Slavros GSCT" are reinforcing materials for strengthening the upper layers of road pavements during the construction, repair, reconstruction of highways, airfields, bridges and overpasses. In that The case of the following tasks:

  • slowing the formation of cracks in the layers of road covering;
  • increase in overhaul periods of pavement;
  • reduction of asphalt concrete pavement thickness;
  • deceleration of rutting.

The use of Slavros geogrids improves the quality and durability of the design of the upper layers of the pavement.

Introduction to the asphalt concrete coating layers of a composite material does not change the usual technology of asphalt concrete reinforcement with geogrids, however, it provides certain advantages in comparison with the use of conventional geogrids. First of all, the implementation of the whole complex of works is significantly accelerated. This is achieved due to the fact that the composite material has a significantly larger surface of contact with the underlying layer of asphalt concrete, due to this it sticks more firmly and almost does not form folds, usually turning when the asphalt paver moves into socalled “waves”.

A fiberglass geogrid converts vertical loads into a horizontal plane, redistributes tensile stress. The coefficient of linear thermal expansion of asphalt and glass composite are the same. Therefore, the glass geogrid with temperature drops is not separated from asphalt, unlike polymers. Strong adhesion prevents shifts of the coating layers.

Reinforcement of asphalt concrete with fiberglass grating is performed during construction, repair, and reconstruction of roads of the I-V technical category and areas for various purposes:

  • urban highways;
  • federal, regional overpasses;
  • airfields;
  • ports;
  • warehouse terminals;
  • parking of heavy trucks, agricultural machinery and special equipment, including on caterpillar tracks.

The advantages of fiberglass geogrids

The positive properties of the Slavros glass-composite lattices are based on the unique technology of processing glass roving with further gluing of geotextiles

  • strong sintering with asphalt;
  • heat resistance – does not lose the properties of a solid up to 500 ° C and above, it can be laid under hot asphalt concrete;
  • ow thermal conductivity – the destructive heat from the heated asphalt does not reach the lower, middle layers of the pavement;
  • high distribution coefficient of static, dynamic loads in the longitudinal and transverse directions;
  • environmental friendliness;
  • incombustibility;
  • non-toxic – when heated, does not emit harmful substances;
  • inertness in relation to organic, inorganic materials - does not react with the components used in building mixtures, solutions, modifying additives.

The economic gain from glass geogrid reinforcement is a reduction in the volume of building bulk materials, a decrease in the thickness of the asphalt pavement. This means reducing career development, increasing the profitability of construction due to savings on materials and delivery. The service life of the pavement to a major restoration increases by 2-3 times and the need for annual patching is almost no longer necessary.
