Road construction

The use of geosynthetic materials in the road industry is the most rewarding in diverse weather, climatic and soil hydrological conditions and it is more significant from the performance point of view and transport operational reliability of the of the structures than the one-time cost savings.

National and foreign experience in the use of geosynthetic materials shows their versatility (extensive field of use), cost-effectiveness (reduced construction and operation costs, savings on building materials, reduced total man-hour, reduced maintenance), environmental friendliness (use of non-toxic materials according to the conclusion of the Industrial Toxicology Laboratory).

"Slavros SD" biaxially oriented geogrid is used on the contact of the soilrubble in the layers of road pavement.

The structure of a rigid lattice with rectangular cells prevents the mixing of layers and interpenetration of materials, as well as ensuring the jamming of rubble in the grid, which leads to the joint work of rubble and geogrids, increasing the overall elastic modulus of the pavement, preventing shear and scattering of the crushed stones layer.

"Slavros SO" geogrid  has a great tensile strength in one direction, which allows it to be used to increase the carrying capacity of a weak base, build embankments in cramped conditions, reduce the area of land occupied on the approaches to bridges, restore landslide slopes.

Using the “Slavros SO” uniaxially (one-directional) oriented geogrid, it is possible to construct retaining walls of any foundation up to the vertical one.
Reinforced soil constructions using Slavros CO allows the reducing of the requirements for soils backfilling and the use of local soil.

"Slavros GR" volumetric geogrid does not only reinforce slopes from destruction, but also protects slopes from water and wind erosion, increasing the service life of the subgrade as a whole.

By using volumetric geogrid it is possible to build technological, along-theroad, temporary roads, thereby significantly increasing the construction time during the preparatory period and increasing the operational characteristics (excluding track formation), at the same time increasing the service life.
"Slavros" geotextile can perform basic functions necessary to maintain the road bed in working condition, i.e. : separation, drainage, filtration, shoring.

Slavros "Drainage" is a composite material used as a drainage layer, allowing water to be diverted out and to prevent the adverse effects of water on road structure, it is also used in the construction of underground structures and as the subgrade on wetlands.

Slavros-Drainage having two layers of geotextiles, has functions inherent in this material.
